What is a Kolache?  It’s a Czech pastry, kind of like a danish, with a filling in the center.  Traditional fillings are usually apricot, peach, prune, cream cheese, poppy seed, & cottage cheese.  Most people think it's for breakfast…but it’s good to eat

ANY TIME!!

NOW… CONTRARY to some folks, a Kolache is NOT dough wrapped around a sausage…OOOHHH….NO!  That is called a sausage roll or what we Texans call..a “Pig-In-The-Blanket”…so PLEASE, help us re-educate everyone and spread the word. 

We believe that Memaw made the best…EVER, I mean EVER!!! And now we are bringing them to you!  So please…INDULGE…you’ll never call that pig thing…a KOLACHE…again!!!  Remember...we are from TEXAS...but just feel, due to our heritage, we must let you know what a "real" kolache is.
